I've been feeling a little out of sorts lately, but I'm finding that getting things in order around me actually minimizes the mental clutter and brings a modicum of peace.

Isn't She Lovely

Audrey. . .Stunning and effortlessly chic in every frame. I'm about to pour a cocktail and settle in to watch the Golden Globe Red Carpet arrivals; I am paritcularly excited about the cast of Mad Men. I'm somewhat obsessed with that series and can't wait to see the gowns and suits selected for this event.

Semantics

It took F-O-R-E-V-E-R and in fact, maybe even too long to make them worth the while, but no matter- I'm enjoying every minute of these thigh-high, over the knee boots. . . whatever. Frankly, if you're 5'5" or under, such as I am-- anything 'Over The Knee' will likely be 'Thigh High', no?

Twenty Ten

The first week of the new year has been wonderful; I enjoyed a magnificent dining experience at Upstairs2, heard the voice of a dear friend after months of being away, and confirmed plans to bring a new pup into my home. Hope yours has been pleasant thus far.

P.S. My only resolution is to try to master the cuisine from my mother and fathers homeland, the Dominican Republic. I grew up on some of the most delicious fare and am ashamed to admit that my specialities are cereal and toast, soooooo. . . I'm going to shadow my mother by cell phone and e-mail and give it my best shot.... Stand By!

Good Golly. . .

I'm late! I'm late! I'm late! and BOY... do I know it! Thanksgiving was a beautiful, restful day. My sister and nephew were in town and I turned 31 yesterday- that's right, no shame in my game-- I'm 31!

No gift in the world could match my sweet little nephews face each and every day that he was here. I couldn't get enough of him and it broke my heart to see him leave but I'll have my memories and pictures to remind me until we see each other again.
