Three cheers for Nude Pumps! I can't say enough about them. Out of a sea of black, these made the cut this morning. I wanted to elongate my legs and make the belt the point of interest. . . I think it worked :)

My Sunday so far: Everything bagel toasted with butter, one bottle of water, two cups of coffee, Church on television (Joel Osteen), Amy Larocca's 2008 interview with Carine Roitfeld for New York Magazine and this inspiring talk by Elizabeth Gilbert . . .
"Eat, Pray, Love" Author Elizabeth Gilbert muses on the impossible things we expect from artists and geniuses -- and shares the radical idea that, instead of the rare person "being" a genius, all of us "have" a genius. It's a funny, personal and surprisingly moving talk.TEDTalks is a daily video podcast of the best talks and performances from the TED Conference, where the world's leading thinkers and doers give the talk of their lives in 18 minutes. Featured speakers have included Al Gore on climate change, Philippe Starck on design, Jill Bolte Taylor on observing her own stroke, Nicholas Negroponte on One Laptop per Child, Jane Goodall on chimpanzees, and "Lost" producer JJ Abrams on the allure of mystery. TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design, and TEDTalks cover these topics as well as science, business, development and the arts. I hadn't planned on jumping on the Vintage, Flat Boot, Bandwagon but some things are simply an occurrence of their own accord. Gone Thrifting, Back Soon!!
In December, I purchased and returned a perfectly good black blazer because I wasn't completely sold *insert sad face here*. Fortunately, the better piece was yet to come. Yesterday was my day off; between the Target run, the post-office drop, and spilling a full cup of coffee into my passenger seat and onto my handbag (Fabric not Leather, THANK GOD), I stumbled upon this little gem. So far, it's a win! I'm loving the yellow lining and generous fit. Based on it's impeccable, near new condition- I'm predicting It'll get more mileage in my wardrobe than that of the person who previously owned it.
My Sunday: 11:30AM Coffee Bean for Girl Time, 1:30PM Kojak's for a Philly Cheesesteak, 3:00 Drinks at Sunshine Company, 5:30 Walk with Le BF and the Pup, 6:00 Creamsicle Cocktails and a Film 'Buena Vista Social Club' . . . Have a Lovely Evening!
I purchased this dress about 4 or 5 years ago and in the time I've owned it, it's been a reminder and perhaps a sort of testament to taking good care of my belongings. It isn't the best quality and if I recall correctly, it was under $20 but it's held it's own over the years because I've never stored nor handled it any differently than I would any of my higher-end pieces.
Mere words cannot begin to express how much I LOVE this skirt! I only had my eye/wallet on one piece from this collection, but that selection simply didn't suit me. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the very last 'Hi Waist Gore' skirt on the rack, was my size. A stunning and flattering statement piece for any fashionista :)

Happy First Week of March everyone! Sorry for the tardy post; I had a three day weekend- the greater part of which was spent outdoors. A true Sagittarius here :)
I must thank Juley at Swank Heights for recommending these booties in one of her January posts. She was correct, they are both insanely comfortable and a must have.
