Patent Probation

I started my day in grey plaid wellies, but the sun broke through so I thought it might be nice to finally free my peep-toe Mary Jane's from the multi-month, floor-of-my-car, jail sentence.

Though you won’t find many pinks or mauves in the color palette of my wardrobe, I made an exception for this dress. Under the fitting room lights, it struck me as more of a nude- which brought my Luceros to mind, in turn resolving the pseudo color conflict, finally selling me on the exaggerated panel of ruffles.

. . .looked like this. Yes, my legs are a mess again; this time I fell down the stairs :( I've come to the conclusion that maxi dresses should come with a warning for those of us who are 5'5" and under.

Work Station

So I spent my Saturday morning cleaning, organizing and returning this weeks' shoes to their boxes. In the process of sorting and dusting, it occurred to me that I've never really explained my regimen or raved about my favorite products. In lieu of such a post, I thought it might be nice to share a photo of "The Lab" :)

DIY by HIM

I found these skinnies a few years back, on sale at Express. I loved the fit so much that I bought two pairs, one size apart. Since I've gotten my cost-per-wear. . .plus, I was more than willing to spare them for this little DIY experiment. As it turns out, it was my boyfriend who was kind enough to destroy them at my request and I'm pretty pleased with the finished product.

My friend Lili is the person behind the camera and she has the patience of a saint. If the sun's isn't shining I can't be motivated to share, but she's not one to allow an ensemble go to waste. It's fortunate for me that she shares my love for this crazy little world I've created because I cant think of too many people who'd be stoked to give up their afternoon break day after day to take photos of their friends and be genuinely excited about it. She's pretty fantastic. Perhaps I'll introduce you to her one day :)
