This entire outfit (minus the shoes) was $35. The shoes were $50-- but still, under $100 is insanely reasonable. Put on your rose-colored glasses and get to shopping those closets, ladies! Breathe new life into the old and use your imagination on the obscure, inexpensive finds.
By virtue of this blog, I'm relieved to find that my personal style does indeed shift from day to day. This could be attributed to any number of things, but I believe it's simply a reflection of my reverence for the intimate process of adornment that comes with being a woman.
Two bows in one week and more earth tones just days apart? I sense a trend. I should consider editing my selections a bit more closely, but I've had the necklace for years and once paired, I fell in love. I adore the hammered silver and bronze together and I think it compliments the brown patterned tights and grey boots well.
By my humble estimation, the styling on Lipstick Jungle is impeccable; chic and provocative. Each wardrobe personifies elegance while subtly insinuating the playful, more delicate persona of the character it was created around. Color me inspired :)
I hadn't planned on photos today, but throw three girls and a camera together and the rest is history. Anyway, this outfit makes me feel like I should be mixing my own granola or dehydrating fruit, but when I woke up with these boots on the brain- I had to work something out.
Two bows in one week? Random! Anyway- this top reminds me of a gentlemans tie and that's why I like it. Also, if I 'needed' to hit happy hour after work, I'm set. Subtract the jacket, add lipstick and I'm ready to party.
Given the current economic climate, I've committed myself to getting the most mileage out of my existing wardrobe by shopping my closet instead of the stores. That having been said, I call the above, my "What is old is new again" ensemble.
I wasn't quite at 100% this morning but I figured I'd dress the part to compensate for the residual hacking cough and incessant nose-blowing day ahead. Again, I have no explanation for this last photo. Stretching? Fidgeting? Showing my left ankle some long overdue affection? *Shrugs*
I started feeling a little achy last night and woke up late this morning. Wrap Dress + Spanx + Slingbacks = Getting to work on time. I'm off to befriend the NyQuil now. Have a lovely weekend :)

By my humble estimation, this dress is what I consider 'An Oldie but a Goody'. Over the span of several weeks- I tried it on, put it back, got a second opinion. . . then a third opinion, tried it on again, then put it back again. The trouble? There was a heinous chiffon rosette dead front and center.
The sun loves to shine in southern California and today was no different. I don't usually post on the weekends, but I was missing my family and I decided to bring my camera along for my walk at the Harbor. I hope that these photos will make them so jealous that they all pack their bags and move back because I miss them terribly.

I'd hoped to sneak in a photo yesterday, but I was out of town and the days schedule just didn't permit. In retrospect- I suppose that's just as well because I wasn't over the moon about my outfit anyway. Truth be told, I wish I would have worn this instead. Maybe next time
