Some rely on electronic devices to keep order of their tasks, messages and special occasions-- I, on the other hand, am the lone descender. Voice messages that I cannot immediately return, directives born of conference calls, grocery lists, book recommendations, gift ideas, strokes of genius and other incessant musings- are all tucked away safely, between the fine lines of the diary-style calendar I've kept since I was 17.
Why won't I let my Blackberry do the work? Colorful ink, pretty paper, little red check marks and the wine that compliments the evening ritual of planning the day that follows :)

I love the idea of the handwritten journal, and hope I can get back to it. You've spurred me to dissent too.
I do LOVE the blackberry, but I miss the old days sometimes, especially the pretty paper inserts I'd get each year for my fancy organizer.
I really wish I had kept up a journal. A fancy one, that is. I still use my non-glamorous notepads from Target. Lol. But they're always filled with phrases and sentences that don't often flow together or make sense.
A diary that makes sense would be lovely...
I carry a Moleskine notebook to jot down notes.
I agree! Pen and Paper is much more intimate than the flashy phones, and devices.
High Five girl...love it.
